Granite Basin Lake is a man-made lake of about 5 surface acres.
Although fishing is usually rated as only fair to poor, a patient angler
can often catch bluegill, largemouth bass, or catfish. A State of Arizona
fishing license is required for anglers over the age of 13 years. Swimming
is not permitted in the lake. Boating is permitted , but boats are limited
only electric motors. February to November. Dependent upon weather.

Facilities. 30 vehicle camp sites. Group campground includes 8
fireplaces, 1 fire ring, 4 pedestal grills,and 2 vault toilets. 14 day stay limit.

To reach it, take Montezuma Street north until it becomes Whipple
Street, and shortly thereafter Iron Springs Road. Take Iron Springs Road
to Forest Road 374 and then follow this road for approximately four
miles until you see the entrance to the lake.
