The Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is a non profit organization dedicated
to aiding foster children in this crucial junction of their lives. The foundation
aids the foster families when the child needs things that the family might not
be able to provide such as clothing, toys, blankets, school essentials, and so
much more.
You heard right! Prescott Center for the Arts
(PCA) placed the Young Playwrights Festival
(YPF) into its summer youth programming
schedule, and expanded the festivities to a two-
week workshop/rehearsal period leading up to
the public performances. It’s a big change, and
we are very excited about it!

Creating a supportive
environment is helping
reduce student behavior
issues in Arizona schools
and empowering students
to pause before they
respond instead of reacting
to adverse events. Just before spring break, a second-
grader was crying while waiting outside the office at
Holiday Park Elementary School and the boy beside him
urged him to take a few deep breaths, said Rebecca
Leimkuehler, principal of the  school in Cartwright
Elementary School District in Phoenix.
